Delete Your Account

CraftMyMoney · Account and data deletion

You can delete your CraftMyMoney account and all your financial data at any time, directly from the app. You do not need to contact us, and there is nothing to pay or justify.

1. How to delete your account

  1. 1Open the CraftMyMoney app and sign in
  2. 2Go to Settings, then Account Actions
  3. 3Tap Delete Account
  4. 4Enter your password and type DELETE to confirm

2. The 30 day grace period

When you confirm deletion, you are signed out on every device immediately and your account stops working straight away. Your data is then held, inaccessible, for 30 days.

Changed your mind? Simply sign in again within those 30 days and your account is restored exactly as you left it. After 30 days everything below is permanently erased and cannot be recovered by you or by us.

3. What is permanently deleted

  • Your account, profile and login credentials
  • All transactions and imported bank statements
  • Budgets, envelopes, allocations and categories
  • Craft Brain categorisation learning and merchant history
  • Financial Health score and its history
  • Notification preferences and registered devices

4. What we retain, and why

A small amount of data outlives your account, either because the law requires it or because it can no longer identify you. None of it contains your financial records.

Anonymised security audit logs

Required to investigate fraud and unauthorised access. Your identity, IP address and device details are stripped.

Hashed email delivery records

Needed so our email provider keeps honouring unsubscribe and bounce suppression. The address is stored as an irreversible hash, never in readable form.

Anonymised product feedback

If you sent us feedback, the text is kept to improve the app. Your name, email and account link are removed.

5. If you cannot access the app

If you have uninstalled CraftMyMoney or cannot sign in, email us from the address registered on your account and we will delete it for you. We action these requests within 30 days.
