If something happens to you, would your family know which accounts, policies and investments exist, and where to find them? Family Vault is that list, kept up to date by you and visible only to the people you choose.
Accounts, deposits and policies regularly go unclaimed in India simply because the family never knew they existed.
Being the registered nominee on an account does not tell anyone the account exists, which bank holds it, or where the papers are.
In most families one person knows where everything is. Family Vault gets it out of their head and into a list the right people can see.
Three steps, all inside the CraftMyMoney app. Find it under Settings, then Family Vault.
Add each account, investment, policy, loan or record: what it is, which institution holds it, an optional value, and notes like where the papers are kept.
Add the people you trust with their name, relation and email. Each one gets an invite, and nothing is visible to them until they accept.
Share each item with specific contacts. Your spouse might see everything, a sibling only one policy. Revoke access at any time.
Built around the accounts and policies Indian families actually hold, with an Other option in every group.
It does not transfer ownership or give anyone access to your money. Who can claim an account is decided by the registered nominee and your will, so keep those up to date with your bank, insurer and fund houses. Family Vault makes sure your family knows those accounts exist and where to start.
Family Vault is a list of what you own and owe, such as bank accounts, fixed deposits, mutual funds, insurance policies and loans, kept in the CraftMyMoney app. You choose which family members can see each item, so they know what exists and where to find it if something happens to you.
Yes. Family Vault is free on every CraftMyMoney plan, including the Free plan.
No. Family Vault is an index, not a document locker. You add the type of item, the institution or where it is kept, an optional value, and notes. It never asks for documents, full account numbers, Aadhaar or PAN. At most you add the last 4 characters of an account number.
As soon as they accept your invite. Access is live from then on, not only in an emergency, so share only what you are comfortable with them seeing now. You can revoke access at any time and it ends immediately.
No. A Trusted Contact sees only the specific items you shared with them. They never see your totals, your net worth, the items you did not share, or who else you share with.
No. A registered nominee is the person on record with your bank or insurer, and that is what decides who can claim the money. A Trusted Contact is someone you let see the item in the app. They can be different people, and each item can record its registered nominee separately.
Yes. They get an email invite, install CraftMyMoney and sign up with the same email address you invited. They can skip the budgeting setup entirely and go straight to the items shared with them.
Download CraftMyMoney, open Settings, then Family Vault. It is free on every plan, and your first item takes about a minute.
